About Me…

I have experienced many times how a space can instantly transform a life by providing a place of sanctuary, healing, sharing and connection. My design practice stems from a profound, thoughtful process that illustrates a story that can endlessly evolve.

I believe that every detail has a significant value and purpose. I interlace hand crafted, original, found objects with purposefully chosen colors, textures, patterns, shapes, materials and story telling to establish a fluid rhythm in space. Each design embarks with a thorough consultation to understand what one needs to achieve the desired creation.

I received my BA in Fine Arts from the University of Vermont in 2015. Immediately after graduating I moved to Los Angeles where I was constantly saturated and influenced by art, design and fashion.

I spent the majority of my five years there running the installation and service for a small semi established pop up dinner group called LA Food Shop. We valued finding and creating unique spaces to host elaborate, multi course, family style dinner parties ranging from 60-120 people. At each place we called it home for at least a few months. Our kitchen and dining set up was creatively makeshift and fabulous. Our venues ranged from a funky Balinese furniture and more shop to architecture case study houses to our more permanent home at a fully functioning warehouse/workshop form the 1920s.

This experience tied the connection of my passion for creating and interior design. In 2019 I went back to school to study Interior Design at UCLA.

I grew up in Durango CO, in early March of 2020 I came back for a visit. Well as fate played out I got stuck here and felt the pull and love of being back home. In the past few years I have tapped into Durango’s growing design and architecture world. In spring of 2023 I started working and apprenticing with Violet Mae, wile learning upholstery I have embarking on my own design projects.

What nurtures my soul in art and design.

My part with Violet Mae Upholstery…

In spring of 2023 I started helping Emily Lloyd of Violet Mae with a major project refinishing 38 restaurant booths. The stars were in alignment and I have continued to work / apprentice with her since. We are both extremely passionate about treasure hunting old furniture and working with COLOR and PATTERNS! We offer a wide range of fabric to give your furniture the story it needs to enhance your life.
